Nail Stickers – What’s all the hype?

Recently, nails stickers have gained a lot of hype in the beauty industry. We've done some research, and below is a list of the main reasons why the at home manicures are moving towards nail stickers.

Pre-Designed.

When you purchase nail stickers, they'll on average come in 10 different sizes. This would indicate that nails stickers fit most, however, depending on what brand you purchase some have a little stretch. This stretch allows you to fit the nail sticker perfectly to your nails, and if needed you can slightly stretch them to ensure that your whole nail is covered. Having the nail stickers pre-cut eliminates the mess of nail polish and the effort required to keep the polish to your nail.

Easy to Apply.

As mentioned above, nail stickers are pre-cut into various sizes hence making it easier for you to apply.

The application process of nail stickers is quite simple. Follow the steps below and you will have flawless nails.

• Prep It: File the nail and clean with alcohol wipe.
• Measure It: Pick the nail that best suits your nail size.
• Stick It: Stick the nail sticker to your nail.
• Tidy It: Trim off excess nail sticker.
• Cure It: Using a UV light cure the nail sticker for 60seconds (this step is dependent on the type of nail sticker you are using)

Quick to dry.

Given that the nails are in sticker form, there either fully cured or semi-cured. If the nail sticker you are using is just that, a sticker, then there is no drying time, what a win! Although this is great, typically speaking this type of nail sticker's usually have a shorter lifetime on your nails. If you go for a semi-cured gel nail sticker, they require 60 seconds to cure (dry) under a UV light.

Last for 2 – 3 weeks (depending on brand).

Nail stickers can last for weeks depending on the brand and type. A nail sticker will usually last a week or under, due to the materials that they are made from. However, gel nail stickers are the latest technology in nail stickers and they typically last 2-3 weeks. This is super exciting for the at home manicure.

Easy to remove.

Another advantage of nail stickers is that they have a hassle-free removal process, that can be done in your own time. Nail stickers can be easily removed without damaging your nails. This is hard to believe, I know! Unlike traditional nail polish, SNS or acrylic nails, you do not require 100% acetone or other harsh chemicals to remove the stickers. Nail stickers can be easily peeled off with no damage to your nail and without leaving any residue behind.
